About
Bonjour ! I’m Clémentine
Welcome to my adventure travel
I’m a French travel blogger with a deep love for exploring the world—both on my own and with a partner. For many years, I traveled extensively as a couple, which allowed me to discover the joys and challenges of shared adventures. However, my journey took a new direction when I embraced solo travel. I’ve since found immense growth, freedom, and self-discovery in exploring the world independently.
From the historic cities of Europe to the bustling streets of Southeast Asia, the open roads of Australia and the USA, and now the vibrant and diverse culture of India, my travels have shaped me in countless ways. Whether I’m traveling solo or with others, I’ve learned to trust my instincts, connect with locals, and find beauty in every corner of the world. Through this blog, I aim to inspire and guide both solo travelers and couples to create their own unforgettable journeys.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How has travelling solo as a woman empowered you and what have you learned from your experiences?
Solo travelling as a woman has been one of the most empowering experiences of my life. It started as a way to explore new cultures, but it quickly became a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. Travelling alone pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me build confidence and break free from limiting beliefs. I learned to trust myself, make my own decisions and embrace the unknown.
Through these adventures, I’ve met incredible people from diverse backgrounds, leading to more authentic and meaningful experiences. Each journey has taught me resilience, adaptability and the joy of living in the moment. Now I’m ready to share these lessons with other women and men, encouraging them to embark on their own solo journeys to discover their true potential.
2. How do you approach safety when travelling alone as a woman?
Travelling solo as a woman has taught me to balance caution with trust and to distinguish between real risks and fears shaped by societal perceptions. While safety is always important, I’ve learned that many of our fears are exaggerated by the stories we hear. I believe in following my instincts, but I also trust the goodness in people, which has led to some of the most enriching experiences on my travels.
I do my research, ask locals for advice and stay in touch with loved ones. I also share my location with them when I feel it is necessary. I make sure I have a working SIM card in every country I visit. I always respect the local customs, including the way I’m dressed.
But beyond these precautions, travelling alone has taught me to rely more on the kindness of strangers. The world is often much safer and more welcoming than we’re led to believe. By connecting with other travellers and learning to trust myself, I’ve found a sense of freedom and confidence that makes every trip truly special.
2. How do you choose the best destinations for female solo travellers and what factors should be considered?
I think almost any destination can be incredible for female solo travellers, as long as you choose wisely and match your destination to your personal preferences and goals. It’s not just about choosing the “safest” places, but understanding what kind of experience you’re looking for.
If you crave adventure and enjoy stepping out of your comfort zone, destinations like India or South East Asia offer vibrant, chaotic and deeply enriching experiences. These places are perfect for those who want to push their boundaries and immerse themselves in different cultures. On the other hand, if you prefer a more structured and tranquil environment, countries such as Japan or those in Western Europe may be more suited to your style, offering safety, order and a sense of familiarity.
The key is to know yourself and what you want from your trip. Are you looking for relaxation or self-discovery? Cultural immersion or natural beauty? Once you have identified your expectations, you can choose a destination that matches your desired experience. Wherever you go, preparation is essential – understanding local customs, packing for the climate and learning a few phrases in the local language can make all the difference. Each destination has something unique to offer, and with the right mindset, each can be a memorable and fulfilling experience for a female solo traveller.
4. What advice would you give to women considering their first solo trip?
If you’re feeling insecure or scared about your first solo trip, but have a strong desire to try, my biggest advice is: go for it! Don’t let fear stop you – regret is far worse. Even if it’s just a weekend away in your own country or a solo trip to the cinema, take that first step. Starting small is fine and can be a great way to build your confidence.
For your first trip, don’t hesitate to join online groups or forums where you can connect with other travellers, ask questions and get recommendations. Hearing from others who’ve been there can be incredibly reassuring. When I first travelled to India, I was nervous about visiting places like Rajasthan or Varanasi, which I thought might be too intense for me. Instead, I chose the quieter, natural Himalayan region, which turned out to be the perfect introduction to travelling solo in India. I relied on the advice of locals and other travellers, which made everything go smoothly.
My advice is to challenge yourself, but also be kind to yourself. Set a manageable goal and do everything you can to make sure it’s not overwhelming. Solo travel takes a lot of energy to plan, navigate and make decisions, so give yourself time and space to adjust. If you’re visiting a country that allows for flexibility, like many in Asia, consider not booking all your accommodation in advance. This will allow you to adjust your plans, rest when you need to and leave room for spontaneous adventures. Take things one step at a time. This will ensure that your first solo trip is not only a challenge but also an enjoyable and powerful experience.
